Job summary

Academics Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Year 6 SATs Booster & Intervention Teacher to deliver English and Maths sessions for Year 6 pupils, both in small groups and one-to-one. The role runs part-time (4 days per week) from September 2026 to May 2027 and involves monitoring progress in collaboration with Year 6 staff.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or HLTA status, have KS2 experience, a solid KS2 curriculum knowledge, an Enhanced DBS, and a willingness to undertake ongoing training as needed.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is a qualified HLTA
• Has experience supporting or teaching Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally year 6
• Has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs
• Holds an Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and tailored English and Maths sessions to Year 6 pupils
• Support pupils in preparing for the SATs exams by conducting small group and 1-to-1 sessions
• Identifying learning gaps and adjust lessons to meet individual pupil needs
• Work in close collaboration with Year 6 Teachers and Teaching Assistants to monitor pupils progress and needs
