With it being the summer term already, schools are looking for part-time and full-time upper key stage 2 teachers / Year 6 teachers to support for now and into September.

Your new role

Your new job as a Year 6 teacher for the summer term, working on a part or full-time basis, involves supporting children throughout their SATs in a school setting.

You will be responsible for planning lessons, focusing on Maths and English, while creating engaging and broad afternoon lessons to capture the children's interests. You will also be required to mark all work and attend staff and parent evenings during the summer term.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you need to be a confident and passionate Year 6 or upper key stage 2 teacher with a calming nature and presence in the classroom. Knowledge of Year 6 SATs and expectations is desirable but not essential. You must be able to create a safe and secure classroom environment that allows children to flourish and enjoy their final term of primary school.
