Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 class in a primary school in Telford. The role involves working with the class teacher to maintain a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have KS2 knowledge, experience with small-group and 1:1 interventions, and a DBS (Update Service preferred) issued within the last year. Start: October 2026, end May 2027. Hours: 8:30–15:30, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
• Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Experience as Teaching Assistant or LSA in nurseries or primary schools.
• DBS on Update Service or issued within last 12 months.
• Provide a minimum of two excellent references.
• Recent UK school-based experience.

Responsibilities

• Support a Year 6 class in a primary school in Telford.
• Work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions to support core subjects, including SATs preparation.
