Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Year 6 Intervention Teaching Assistant in the CF11 area of Cardiff. You will run targeted intervention sessions, supporting Year 6 pupils to build confidence and progress before secondary transfer.

Work closely with class teachers to deliver 1:1 and small-group support in English and Maths, monitor progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with primary-aged children.
• Experience supporting literacy and numeracy interventions is desirable.
• A patient, proactive and encouraging approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential.

About the Role

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated Year 6 Intervention Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in the CF11 area of Cardiff, starting in September.

This role will focus on supporting Year 6 pupils through targeted intervention sessions, helping children build confidence and make progress ahead of their transition to secondary school. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver small group and 1:1 support, particularly in English and Maths.
