Academics are recruiting a Primary School Intervention Teaching Assistant in Camberley for a September/October 2026 start. You will support inclusion teams and lead interventions in KS1 and KS2, 1:1 and small groups.

This full-time, long-term role runs 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a day rate of 92-£100 GBP. The school offers excellent training opportunities and parking facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN and delivering interventions both 1:1 and in small groups.
• Experience as a TA in a primary school is preferred; graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the inclusion team and class teachers both in and out of the classroom.
• Lead interventions to a caseload of pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Interventions include Speech & Language carry over sessions, Maths, Reading, Writing, Pre-teaching key skills and vocabulary.

This fantastic primary school in Camberley are wanting to hear from experienced teaching assistants who have worked with both children with SEN as well as raising attainment both in and out the classroom.

In this primary school Intervention Teaching Assistant role, you will provide support to the inclusion team and class teachers both in and out of the classroom. You will lead interventions to a caseload of pupils both on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Interventions would include Speech & Language carry over sessions, Maths, Reading, Writing, Pre Teaching Key Skills, Vocabulary and Social/ Motor skills.

There are two roles available, one in KS1 and the other in KS2.

Ideally you will have prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.

Ideally you will have experience working with children with SEN or as a general teaching assistant completing group and 1:1 interventions in and out of the class.

This school are open to graduates as well wanting broaden your skillset working with children to start a career in education.
