Job summary

St Gerard's Catholic Primary & Nursery School in Widnes is seeking a temporary Classroom Support Assistant to join our KS2 team. This part-time post is 20 hours per week, term time only, Monday to Friday 8.30am–12.30pm.

You will support Year 6 pupils with learning, contribute to a caring Catholic ethos, and work closely with staff. The role requires an enhanced DBS check and starts as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Have high expectations of all pupils and a strong commitment to supporting continuous school improvement.
• Experience working with Year 6 pupils and understanding their needs and challenges.
• Be confident and experienced in supporting Year 6 pupils in learning, progress and transition to secondary school.
• Understand the role of a Classroom Assistant and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Be passionate about supporting children's learning and development, and model high standards of classroom practice.
• Be committed to promoting the school’s Catholic ethos and values.

Responsibilities
