Job summary

St Luke's Park Primary School is seeking a learning support assistant to join a dedicated team. Term time only, 15.83 hours across 5 afternoons, with an immediate start if shortlisted.

You will support in lessons and run interventions for primary pupils, including those with autism and other needs, under the direction of class teachers. The role requires good English and maths, reliable teamwork, and the ability to communicate and be flexible.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills; GCSE English and maths highly desirable.
• Previous LSA experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work in a team and support in lessons and interventions.
• DBS check and references required.

Responsibilities

• Support in lessons and run interventions for pupils.
• Support groups and individuals including those with special educational needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff; communicate effectively.
• Assist with SEN pupils in KS2 and adapt materials.
