Ivy Resource Group is seeking a determined Year 6 Teacher to join a Gloucester primary school on a maternity cover contract from December 2026 to July 2027. The role is on the Main Pay Scale and starts 1 December 2026.

You will inspire high pupil achievement, support pupils with SEND, and work closely with the Headteacher and school team to provide a strong start to every pupil’s learning journey. You will be part of a supportive staff team committed to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with high expectations of pupil achievement.
• Experience in supporting pupils with SEND needs.
• Ability to work with Headteacher and school team.

• Carry out duties of a school teacher as per the Pay and Conditions Document.
• Develop high-quality teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment and progress.

We are looking for a determined and talented individual who is an excellent teacher, with high expectations of pupil achievement and are excited and passionate about supporting all pupils, especially those with SEND needs, to achieve their best. We are looking for a teacher who is able to fully support the Headteacher and school team to provide the best start to our pupils learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the reasonable direction of the Headteacher, carry out the professional duties of a school teacher as set out in the current School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.
• Develop and implement high quality teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment and progress in a specific subject under the Head Teachers direction, across the school.
