Job summary

Horizon Teachers seeks a reliable Teaching Assistant for a long-term Year 5 role at a welcoming Surrey primary school. You will work closely with the class teacher to support engaged Year 5 pupils, helping them thrive academically and personally throughout the school year.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with lesson delivery, resources, and classroom organisation, and build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with teachers, pupils and families.
• Ability to support Year 5 learners 1:1 and in small groups.
• Warm, patient and enthusiastic approach to helping young learners.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to Year 5 pupils.
• Help create a positive, structured classroom environment.
