Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking a passionate and experienced primary school teacher to join a mainstream school in Greater London.

You will teach a wide range of abilities in the 3–11 age range, including pupils with Autism (EYFS emphasis), develop learning objectives, assess progress, and contribute to curriculum development while supporting colleagues. The school values safeguarding, CPD, and a collaborative, can-do ethos.

Qualifications

• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Successful experience as a classroom teacher with Autism in a mainstream school.
• Experience planning, teaching and assessing pupils aged 3–11 (EYFS).
• Experience teaching a wide range of abilities and adjusting learning targets.
• Experience leading a curriculum area, development, supporting staff and resourcing.

Responsibilities

• Teach primary pupils (3–11) with emphasis on EYFS.
• Plan, teach and assess pupils, adjusting learning objectives for individual needs.
• Lead curriculum development and support staff in a school setting.
• Manage deployment of support staff to maximise learning outcomes.

• Evidence of continued professional development

2. EXPERIENCE

• Successful experience as a classroom teacher and teacher of children with Autism within a mainstream school and evidence that your practice has recently been judged to be good or outstanding
• Experience of planning for, teaching and assessing pupils within the primary age range (3-11 years) in particular EYFS
• Experience of teaching a wide range of abilities and amending learning intentions to meet individual needs
• Experience of leading a curriculum area including curriculum development, supporting staff, managing change, policy development and resourcing
• Experience of managing and deploying support staff effectively
