Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Blackpool is seeking a Year 5 Primary Teacher with QTS to join a local school starting in September 2026. This role is planned to continue through the Autumn term and offers an exciting opportunity to impact a vibrant Year 5 cohort.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver creative lessons, assess progress, and report on attainment while building strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff in a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong understanding of Year 5 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Excellent classroom management and rapport with students.

Responsibilities

• Full teaching responsibilities for a Year 5 class, including planning, assessment, and reporting.
• Implementing the school's behaviour policy with consistency and fairness.
• Preparing students for the transition into Year 6 by fostering independence and academic confidence.

• Commands the Classroom: Establishes clear boundaries and high expectations from day one, using positive reinforcement to keep students engaged and on track.
• Delivers Excellence: Has experience of planning and delivering creative, rigorous lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities.
• Builds Relationships: Can quickly build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a seamless transition for the class.
• Adaptable & Resilient: Remains calm under pressure.
