Job summary

Three R’s Teacher Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time maternity cover in Medway, Kent, running from February to July 2027.

The role focuses on upper KS2 with engaging lessons, KS2 curriculum delivery, strong classroom management and collaboration with colleagues.

QTS or equivalent and primary teaching experience are essential.

Competitive daily rates paid weekly with ongoing support from education consultants and access to future long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or similar recognised in the UK.
• Experience teaching within a primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

Job description

Three R’s are recruiting a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time maternity cover placement at a Medway school, running from February through to July. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident primary teacher who enjoys working with upper KS2 pupils and is committed to delivering engaging lessons that support progress, independence and a positive approach to learning.

The ideal Year 5 Teacher will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
• Create a positive classroom environment with clear expectations
• Encourage independence, resilience and enthusiasm for learning
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils' development

Year 5 Teacher requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or similar recognised in the UK
• Experience teaching within a primary school
• Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• Commitment to the full-time maternity cover placement
