Job summary

Three R’s Teacher Recruitment is seeking a Year 5 Teacher for a full-time maternity cover placement in a Medway school. The role runs February to July 2027, with a focus on upper KS2 progress, independence, and a positive approach to learning.

Ideal candidates hold QTS, have primary teaching experience, and are confident delivering Year 5 content using engaging lessons. The position includes support from education consultants and opportunities for future roles.

Qualifications

• QTS or similar recognised in the UK.
• Experience teaching within a primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to the full-time maternity cover placement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum.
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Create a positive classroom environment with clear expectations.
• Encourage independence, resilience and enthusiasm for learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils' development.
