Job summary

Three R's Teacher Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time maternity cover at a Medway primary school. The role runs from February to July 2027, delivering engaging KS2 lessons, assessing pupil progress and supporting independence and positive learning. The salary ranges £34,069 to £46,940 per year, pro rata.

Applicants must have UK QTS or an equivalent qualification and solid primary teaching experience.

Qualifications

• QTS or UK recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of Year 5 curriculum and KS2.
• Ability to manage behaviour and deliver engaging lessons.

Three R's are recruiting a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time maternity cover placement at a Medway school, running from February through to July. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident primary teacher who enjoys working with upper KS2 pupils and is committed to delivering engaging lessons that support progress, independence and a positive approach to learning.

Ideal Year 5 Teacher will

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
• Create a positive classroom environment with clear expectations
• Encourage independence, resilience and enthusiasm for learning
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils' development

Year 5 Teacher requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or similar recognised in the UK
• Experience teaching within a primary school
• Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• Commitment to the full-time maternity cover placement
