Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a SEND provision in Bedfordshire on an immediate start. You will deliver engaging lessons and support pupils with behavioural needs in a specialist educational setting.

Qualifications

• Has prior experience in a school with behavioural needs and SEND experience is essential.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Confident managing challenging behaviour with clear boundaries.
• Patient, resilient and capable of building positive pupil relationships.
• Ability to adapt teaching to diverse learning needs.
• Works well in a team while using initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and adaptable lessons.
• Support pupils with SEND in a specialist educational setting.
• Establish clear expectations and promote positive behaviour through consistent classroom management.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Create a structured, safe and supportive learning environment where pupils feel valued and encouraged.
• Work collaboratively with the wider school team to support pupils' academic progress and personal development.
