Job summary

Academics are seeking a full-time Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school committed to exceptional education. You will provide one-on-one support to a student with Autism and work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized learning plans.

This role emphasizes creating a nurturing learning environment, monitoring progress, and promoting participation in classroom activities.

Qualifications

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children who have Autism.
A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
A relevant educational qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Providing one-on-one support to the student, tailored to their specific needs.
Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to create and implement individualized learning plans.
Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters the child's academic and personal development.
Assisting the child with Autism in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
Monitoring and recording the child's progress and behavior, while offering consistent support and encouragement.
