Job summary

Provide Education- South Yorkshire is seeking a part-time Year 5/6 teacher to cover maternity leave in the DN6 area from September 2026. The role is 1–2 days per week for approximately 10 months.

The successful applicant will need QTS or equivalent and experience across Key Stage 2, preferably Years 5 and 6. A supportive school environment and collaborative team await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching across Key Stage 2, ideally Years 5 and 6.
• Engaging and enthusiastic classroom practitioner with high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff; organised, reliable and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 5/6 for 1–2 days per week during maternity cover.
• Contribute to a supportive, collaborative school environment.
• Maintain high standards of learning and behaviour and plan accordingly.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 5/6 Teacher to join a welcoming school in the DN6 area from September 2026, providing maternity cover for approximately 10 months.

The role will be 1–2 days per week and would suit an experienced primary teacher looking for a part-time opportunity within a supportive school environment.

• Have experience teaching across Key Stage 2, ideally within Years 5 and 6
• Be an engaging and enthusiastic classroom practitioner
