Job summary

West Monkton C of E Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to cover maternity leave in Year 4 KS2. The role starts on 2 November 2026 and is based in a two-form entry primary school within The Oak Partnership Trust.

The post is on a Temporary FTE 1.0 contract on the Main/Upper Pay Scale, subject to experience, with opportunities for professional development and involvement in leadership activities during the contract.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status is required.
• Solid knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good classroom management and commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 4 in Key Stage 2 during maternity cover.

Overview of the role

We are seeking an excellent, enthusiastic teacher to join our teaching staff for a maternity cover placement to start on Monday 2nd November 2026. The teaching role will be within Key Stage 2- Year 4.

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Passion and commitment for inspiring through teaching and learning
• Solid knowledge of the Key Satge 2 curriculum
• The ability to build on and develop existing best practice knowledge
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships
• Good classroom management skills
