Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class in a supportive Wolverhampton primary school. The role runs from September 2026 to July 2027 and pays £85 - £101 per day, offering valuable day-to-day classroom experience across English, Maths and the wider curriculum.

Ideal candidates are organized, communicate clearly, and are keen to develop practical classroom skills while helping pupils stay engaged and progress throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day classroom support across a Year 4 class, working with pupils individually, in small groups, and as part of whole-class learning.
• Help reinforce learning in English, Maths, and wider curriculum subjects, support classroom routines, prepare simple resources, and work closely with the class teacher to help pupils stay engaged and make progress.
