Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class in a primary school in Bristol starting September. This role involves helping students through small group and 1:1 support, promoting a positive environment where children thrive.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, understand the importance of patience, and enjoy working collaboratively in a supportive team. This role is temporary but may lead to a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in schools, SEND settings, or similar environments.
• Understanding the value of patience, consistency, and positive encouragement.
• Ability to adapt your approach to suit different learners and personalities.
• Enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
• Bring a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 4 classroom.
• Delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support.
• Helping children with additional needs access learning.
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and building confidence.
• Encouraging positive behaviours and independence.

Skills

Experience working with children in schools
