Job summary

The Education Specialists (TES) are seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Birkenhead on a long-term basis, supporting pupils within KS2. The role requires QTS and strong KS2 knowledge.

You will plan and deliver engaging Year 4 lessons, differentiate for diverse learners, monitor progress, and collaborate with staff while upholding safeguarding standards throughout the placement.

Qualifications

  • QTS is required and must be active.
  • Experience teaching in a UK primary setting is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of KS2 and Year 4 curriculum required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Year 4 lessons.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress.
  • Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour.
  • Work with teaching assistants, SENCO and leadership.

Year 4 Primary School Teacher - Long-Term Cover

The Education Specialists (TES) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Birkenhead on a long-term basis, supporting pupils within Key Stage 2 (KS2).

Year 4 Teacher benefits:

Year 4 Teacher role requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly the Year 4 curriculum
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
The successful Year 4 Teacher will:

  • Monitor, assess and track pupil progress effectively
  • Maintain high expectations of learning, behaviour and achievement
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
  • Build strong and positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, SENCO and school leadership
  • Ensure continuity of learning throughout the long-term cover period
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
