Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a Year 3 Teaching Assistant (Level 2 minimum) to join a two-form entry primary school in Eaglescliffe. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday during school hours, supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and helping pupils reach their potential.

Starting October 2026 and running to April 2027, salary is dependent on experience and qualifications; the candidate will hold Level 2 TA qualification and have KS2 experience, with Year 3

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is required.
• Experience in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 is desirable.
• Ability to support teaching and learning across the curriculum.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs and encourage independence.
• Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and displays.
• Promote positive behaviour and support the school's behavior policy.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
• Be patient, proactive, and passionate about children's learning and development.
