Job summary

EDU Passport LLC is seeking a warm Year 3 Teacher for a full-time position in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. You will plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons, support diverse learners, and monitor pupil progress in a collaborative primary school environment.

The role requires UK QTS, experience in primary education, and a nurturing approach to classroom management. A loyal, long-term placement with CPD opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is required.
• Experience teaching in a primary school and Year 3 or KS2 preferred.
• Strong grasp of phonics and early reading instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative KS2 lessons that build key skills and confidence.
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate lessons and assess pupil progress.
• Support pupils with varied needs and abilities and monitor progress.
• Deliver high-quality phonics and early reading sessions.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and collaborate with staff.
• Work with Teaching Assistants and other teachers to provide continuity.

Pay: £140–£232 per day.

Start: November 2026.

Hours: Full-time. Long-term opportunity.

We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic and committed Year 3 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, working full time.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and deliver creative lessons that capture pupils’ interest while helping them develop the key skills and confidence they need as they progress through Key Stage 2.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
• Support pupils with a range of needs and abilities.
• Deliver high-quality phonics and early reading sessions.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress.
• Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other members of staff.
• Collaborate with the teacher covering the remainder of the week to provide continuity for pupils.

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching within a primary school.
• Ideally, previous experience within Year 3 or Key Stage 2.
• A good understanding of phonics and early reading.
• A positive and nurturing approach to classroom management.
• The ability to plan engaging lessons for pupils with different needs and abilities.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete the required clearance.
• Two positive references covering your recent teaching experience.
