Teach Now is recruiting a Year 3 Teaching Assistant for a supportive primary school in Finchley, Barnet. This role supports pupils aged seven to eight across whole-class learning, small-group work and targeted interventions, including SEN provision.

You will work closely with the class teacher to help pupils stay engaged, understand key concepts, and build confidence. A focus on literacy and numeracy is included.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a primary school Teaching Assistant.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including autism.
• Strong communication skills and calm, positive approach.
• Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsabilités

• Support the class teacher during Year 3 lessons and daily activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Deliver or assist with targeted interventions as directed.
• Support pupils with SEN, including autism and neurodiverse needs.
• Adapt support as classroom priorities change throughout the day.
• Encourage independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Share observations and progress updates with the class teacher.
