Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated Year 3 Teacher for a large, well-established primary school in Aylesbury. Start dates are November 2026 or January 2027, with long-term/permanent opportunities. You will deliver engaging Year 3 lessons, support pupil progress, and collaborate with KS2 colleagues to uphold high teaching standards.

The role requires QTS, KS2/Year 3 experience, and the ability to differentiate, manage behaviour, and foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 3.
• Be confident delivering the National Curriculum and adapting lessons to meet pupils' needs.
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a Year 3 class, including planning, teaching, assessment and pastoral care.
• Deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons that inspire pupils and support their progress.
• Work collaboratively with the KS2 team to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
• Create a positive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, motivated and encouraged to succeed.
• Manage behaviour effectively and promote positive relationships.
• Contribute to the wider school community through staff meetings, professional development and school events.
