Job summary

• Experience teaching in a UK primary school.
• Strong KS2 curriculum knowledge.
• Confident with classroom and behaviour management.
• Able to differentiate for mixed-ability classes.
• High expectations for pupil progress.
• Organised, reliable and reflective practitioner.
• Team player within year-group and school team.
• Experience with Year 3 or Lower KS2 is valued.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for teaching and learning within the class.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum.
• Teach strong, well-structured English and Maths lessons.
• Differentiate effectively for different attainment levels.
• Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
• Challenge higher-attaining pupils appropriately.
• Assess pupil progress and identify gaps in learning.
• Establish clear routines and positive behaviour expectations.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff.
• Contribute to planning and wider year-group activities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
