Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil on a 1:1 basis in a welcoming Junior School in the DE55 area. The role starts as soon as possible and may continue depending on school needs.

The successful candidate will support literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities, helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Competitive pay of £95-£100 per day, with experienced local consultant support and CPD opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Year 3 class teacher with teaching and learning activities.
• Working with pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Supporting children who may require additional help with their learning.
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
• Supporting children with additional needs where required.
• Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assisting with classroom preparation and general day-to-day activities.
