Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class at a welcoming primary school in the Rushcliffe Borough of Nottingham. The role offers an immediate start and will initially run until the October half term, with potential to continue based on school needs.

You will support literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities, work one-to-one and in small groups, and help create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 is advantageous.
• A positive, patient and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children.
• Proactive and adaptable attitude.
• Team player with a genuine passion for learning.

Responsibilities

• Support the Year 3 class teacher with teaching and learning activities.
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Support children who may need additional help with their learning.
• Assist with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
• Support children with additional needs where required.
