Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a primary school in the Neath area seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 class five mornings a week. You will assist with small groups in Literacy and Numeracy, help raise standards alongside the class teacher, and plan constructive play during lunchtimes to engage pupils and support their development.

The role requires a minimum of 6 months experience with children and a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience working with children
• Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
• Will work under direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals
• Responsible for working with an individual pupil and small groups
• Show initiative and compassion
• Plan, prepare and promote constructive play during lunchtime
