Job summary

Tywyn Primary School is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support high-quality learning for pupils. The role requires NVQ Level 2 and experience in an LSC environment, with a focus on pupils with additional learning needs.

You will work with teachers to plan, deliver, and evaluate progress within a progressive, skill-based programme and deliver interventions to support children’s development. Term-time, 32.5 hours per week, salary pro-rata.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Learning Support Centre (LSC) provision.
  • Passion for supporting pupils with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver a progressive, skill-based programme.
  • Deliver intervention programmes to support pupils’ learning and development.
  • Contribute to evaluating pupil progress and adapting learning activities.
  • Support high-quality learning opportunities for all pupils in a positive environment.

The Governing Body of Tywyn Primary School wish to appoint an excellent and highly motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support high-quality learning opportunities for our pupils. We are also seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic individual with experience in a Learning Support Centre (LSC) provision, supporting pupils with additional learning needs.

You will work with class teachers to contribute to the planning, the delivery and to evaluate pupil progress within a progressive, skill-based programme for learning. You will also be passionate about working with our pupils and be able to deliver a range of intervention programmes to support childrens’ learning and development.
