Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a full-time, fixed-term post at a welcoming primary school in Kettering, Northamptonshire, from January 2027 to July 2027.

You will hold QTS, deliver engaging Key Stage 1 lessons, and support pupils’ progress and wellbeing within a supportive team.

This role offers ongoing guidance from Aspire People and a competitive pay scale paid to scale.

Qualifications

• QTS essential and fully qualified teacher status.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess lessons.

Responsibilities

• Teaching a Year 2 class on a full-time basis.
• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
• Teaching core subjects, including reading, writing and mathematics.
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress.
• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Maintaining effective classroom management and promoting positive behaviour.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Supporting pupils' independence, confidence and resilience.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and communicating effectively with parents.
