Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a passionate Year 2 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Kettering, Northamptonshire, from January 2027 until July 2027. The role is full-time, 8:30am–3:30pm, with salary paid to scale in line with the teacher pay scale.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, have a solid knowledge of Key Stage 1 English and mathematics, and be capable of planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons while supporting pupils’ progression to Key Stage 2.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified teacher with QTS.
• Strong knowledge of Key Stage 1 English and maths.
• Experience planning, delivering and assessing lessons.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learners.
• Excellent classroom management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 2 class full-time.
• Plan and deliver KS1 lessons.
• Assess pupil progress and document outcomes.
• Support transition to Key Stage 2.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents.
