Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher for a long-term role in Huntingdon (PE28) starting September 2026. The successful candidate will join a high-performing infant school known for strong leadership, excellent facilities and a welcoming culture.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging Year 2 lessons, planning, preparing and adapting lessons to meet all pupils’ needs, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• QTS required.

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging Year 2 lessons.
• Strong communication with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Requirements for the year 2 teacher role

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have previous experience teaching in a Year 2 classroom.
• Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of all pupils.
• Be confident in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons.
