Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Manchester. This is a part-time role, three days per week, running until December, and would suit an experienced KS1 teacher looking for a flexible long-term opportunity.

The school is a friendly and inclusive environment where pupils are supported to learn. The successful candidate will deliver Year 2 lessons, work with a collaborative team, and manage a class effectively.

Qualifications

• QTS required and relevant primary teaching experience.
• Recent Year 2 experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
• Year 2 experience would be highly desirable.
• Good classroom management skills.
• A calm, nurturing and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging Year 2 lessons.
• Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Assessing progress and adapting teaching accordingly.
• Maintaining positive behaviour and high expectations.
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and families.
