Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a confident Year 2 teacher for a full-time role in a welcoming primary school in Salford. The position starts in September and may extend for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will deliver high-quality Year 2/KS1 lessons, build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues, and contribute to safeguarding and assessment across the KS1 curriculum.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with children.
• Have suitable references covering recent teaching experience.
• Strong safeguarding understanding and commitment to child protection.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Year 2/KS1 lessons across the curriculum.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet needs.
• Create an engaging learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.

Are you a passionate Year 2 Teacher looking for a new opportunity this September?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming primary school in Salford that is seeking a confident and enthusiastic teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The role will begin in September and has the potential to be extended for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who can create an engaging learning environment, build strong relationships with pupils and deliver high-quality lessons across the KS1 curriculum.

The successful Year 2 Teacher will:

• Have experience teaching Year 2 or across KS1.
• Have strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support pupils of all abilities.
• Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Work effectively with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have the right to work in the UK.

• Have suitable references covering recent teaching experience.
• Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to child protection.
