Job summary

The Perse School Cambridge is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the Pelican Team. The TA will be allocated to a single Year 2 class, building strong relationships with the teacher and pupils while occasionally covering teaching across other classes in staff absence.

This role offers the opportunity to work across Early Years and Key Stage 1 in the future, supporting in-class activities, small groups and individual pupils as directed by teachers in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.
• Year 2 class initially with potential to cover across other classes.
• Happy to work across Early Years and Key Stage 1 in the future.
• Support to teachers, groups and individual pupils as directed.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in the classroom and support learning activities.
• Work with groups of children to develop skills and understanding.
