Teaching Personnel is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Southport to recruit a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a Year 2 pupil. The role is full-time and temporary until July 2027, working Monday to Friday during school hours.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and support team to ensure the pupil can access lessons, participate in activities and develop confidence with communication strategies and AAC tools.

Qualificações

• Experience supporting children in primary school settings.
• Ability to support a pupil with non-verbal or limited verbal communication.
• Knowledge of SEN best practices and communication approaches.

Responsabilidades

• Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Assist the pupil to access Year 2 lessons and activities.
• Use agreed communication methods and visual supports.
• Support transitions between lessons and environments.
• Encourage participation and social interaction with peers.
• Help manage emotional regulation and provide reassurance.
• Record observations and feed back to the class teacher and SENCO.
