Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with additional needs. The role starts ASAP and may continue until the end of the academic year, with a potential move to a permanent contract. You will support social and emotional development and assist across the school day, including classroom sessions, trips and on-site learning, in a calm, inclusive environment that promotes progress.

Qualifications

• Previous Teaching Assistant experience or child-based experience is required.
• Experience with SEN is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Knowledge or understanding of SEN needs is essential.
• Confident approach to working with children is important.
• An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with additional needs during the school day.
• Support social and emotional development in various settings including trips and classroom sessions.
• Deliver small intervention sessions to create a comfortable learning environment.
