Teaching Personnel is recruiting an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Southport. You will provide full-time 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil who is non-verbal, helping with communication, participation and independence within lessons.

The role is full-time and temporary until July 2027, starting 9 November 2026, with a view to ongoing continuity and development within an established school team.

Qualificações

• Experience providing 1:1 support to a pupil in primary school.
• Ability to work with non-verbal learners using agreed communication strategies.
• Prior experience with SEND or EHCP plans is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Help the pupil access Year 2 lessons and classroom activities.
• Use the child’s agreed communication strategies and AAC tools.
• Support transitions between lessons and environments.
• Encourage interaction with classmates and participation in group activities.
• Record observations and provide feedback to the teacher and SENCO.
