Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join our supply team at a Hartlepool primary school, covering maternity leave from November 2026 to July 2027. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, during school hours, with a day rate ranging from £121.50 to £150 depending on experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have QTS, experience in Key Stage 1, and a passion for supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
• Confident in planning, delivering, and assessing lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, stimulating learning environment.
• Assess, record, and report on pupil progress.
• Differentiate activities to meet diverse learner needs.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external agencies as required.
• Support pupils' personal, social and emotional development.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
