Your new company

Hays Education is currently recruiting reliable and adaptable primary teachers to work at a primary school in Bristol. This role is based in Year 1 and is suited to those with experience in Key Stage 1 teaching. The school is a popular primary school in the Easton area, boasting great space across its site where you will be working. The school is looking for someone with intervention experience who can deliver this confidently to the class. This role involves basic classroom responsibilities, delivering planned lessons, and building relationships with children and their parents/guardians.

Your new role

This part-time role on Thursdays and Fridays is ideal for those passionate about Key Stage 1 teaching. The successful candidate will handle routine classroom responsibilities and collaborate with other teachers throughout the year. To succeed in this role within this BS5 school, you should have a flair for creative teaching and experience with phonics and Key Stage 1 maths. The school values the early years of primary education and seeks a teacher with strong behaviour management skills, as the class will have children of varying abilities. The role is open to strong ECTs.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience within a classroom setting in the last 5 years
• Experience in teaching Key Stage 1 is preferred
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a UK Qualified Teacher Status
• Good knowledge of the English National Curriculum
