The ideal candidate will have QTS, KS1 experience, and a strong grasp of the National Curriculum and Phonics requirements. A safeguarding commitment and collaborative approach are essential.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential and must be current.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and Year 1 Phonics Screening.
• Excellent classroom management and organisation.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young learners.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with KS1.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes love of learning.
• Support pupils' transition from EYFS into KS1.
• Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress with timely feedback.
• Establish high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and parents for best outcomes.
• Contribute to wider school life.
