Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Burnley is seeking an enthusiastic Year 1/2 Class Teacher to join a friendly school community. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, support pupil development and work within a supportive team. The role is MAT cover, full-time, with a daily rate of £120-£150.

The successful candidate will have QTS and KS1 experience, with a focus on high-quality teaching and inclusivity. Commitment to safeguarding and professional development is expected as part of a positive school

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or as an ECT.
• Excellent classroom management.
• Strong knowledge of KS1 curriculum, including phonics and early reading.
• Committed to inspiring learning and high expectations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment where all children can thrive.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future teaching.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL.
• Promote high expectations of achievement, behaviour and attendance.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and support extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive continuous improvement and raise standards.
