Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Year 1 Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide focused 1:1 and small-group support in a Good 3-form entry primary in Wolverhampton. This role offers an immediate start through July 2027, with duties covering phonics catch-up, early writing and maths boosters, and concise progress notes.

You're a graduate with a 2:2 or above who communicates clearly, follows guidance, and enjoys helping young learners develop confidence ahead of teacher training.

Qualifications

• Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Interest in KS1 education and pupil progress.
• Experience tutoring, mentoring or volunteering is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support in Year 1.
• Run phonics catch-up, early writing and maths boosters.
• Prepare simple learning resources and keep concise notes.
• Reinforce routines and model positive behaviour.
