Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a KS1 Graduate Teaching Assistant to support Year 1 and Year 2 pupils with focused 1:1 and small-group work, helping them progress and prepare for teacher training. Immediate start through July 2027, with day rates of £81–£101.

You will deliver phonics, early writing and number interventions, guide groups, and maintain concise notes for next steps, while reinforcing routines and promoting positive behaviour to build pupil confidence.

Qualifications

• Degree in any subject with a 2:2 or above.
• Enhanced DBS clearance held or willing to obtain.
• Strong interest in KS1 and pupil progress.

Responsibilities

• Work across Year 1 and Year 2 to deliver short, purposeful interventions in phonics, early writing and number.
• Guide small groups, provide 1:1 catch‑up, set up activities, and keep concise notes so next steps are clear.
• Reinforce routines, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils build confidence and independence.
