Job summary

Desian Education are delighted to be recruiting a dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Bootle, starting January 2027. You will lead a Year 1 class, plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and support pupils as they transition from EYFS into KS1.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, has KS1/Year 1 experience, and can build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Year 1 or KS1.
• Confident delivering Year 1 curriculum.
• Experience supporting EYFS transition desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Positive, nurturing and professional approach.
• Reliable and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for a Year 1 class.
• Planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing effective feedback.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate KS1 specialist looking to secure a full-time, long-term teaching position from January 2027.
