Job summary

Jobandtalent is seeking a reliable Yard Marshall to support operations in a busy manufacturing and logistics site in Uttoxeter. The role involves directing vehicles, coordinating movements and ensuring safe traffic flow across the yard.

The ideal candidate has prior yard marshalling or traffic management experience, strong communication skills and a solid understanding of health and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior yard marshalling or traffic management experience is desirable.
• Strong communication and organisation skills are essential.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures in a busy yard.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle arrivals, departures and movements with the admin team.
• Direct HGVs, drivers and other vehicles to loading, unloading and parking areas.
• Maintain safe, efficient traffic flow across the yard.
• Ensure routes comply with site traffic management procedures.
• Communicate clearly with drivers and site staff about movements and deliveries.
• Monitor movements to minimise congestion and risks.
• Maintain awareness of pedestrians and hazards in the yard.
• Enforce site safety rules and health & safety standards.
• Report incidents or issues to the relevant team.
• Support daily yard operations in a busy manufacturing environment.
