Job summary

Igloo Ltd. is seeking a confident Yard Marshall for a busy automotive operation in Upper Heyford. The role involves coordinating with the gatehouse, directing car transporters to unloading lanes, and managing traffic around the site.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with drivers from diverse backgrounds, remain calm under pressure, and be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Weekly pay and a company pension are provided.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are required, but you must be able to carry out the responsibilities of the role.
• Experience handling drivers is beneficial.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the gatehouse via radio.
• Monitor site traffic entering and moving around the yard.
• Direct car transporters to the appropriate unloading lanes.
• Provide clear instructions to drivers, including those who may not speak English as their first language.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain safe movement of vehicles.
