Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited are recruiting for Yard Marshals for a leading drinks manufacturer at Preston Brook. If you are organised, physically fit and have a good understanding of yard moves and transport flows, this role could suit you.

You will organise yard activities, monitor safety, check vehicles and trailers, coordinate drivers and FLT operations, report defects, and support warehouse teams to keep the site running smoothly on a continental shift (days and nights) from 7am to 7pm

Qualifications

• Previous Yard Marshall, Yard Operative or Banksman experience is advantageous
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Organise day to day yard activities
• Ensuring all yard operations are carried out safely and efficiently
• Reporting any defects, damage, or safety concerns to management
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards throughout the yard
• Managing drivers & FLT drivers operating within yard areas
• Conducting routine safety checks
• Completing daily vehicle and trailer checks
• Supporting warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth site operations
• Directing vehicle movements and coordinating trailer locations across the site

Due to a huge increase in work, and a site expansion, our client who is a leading drinks manufacturer based in Preston Brook is currently recruiting for a number of Yard Marshall's.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced operation and play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, trailers, and stock across the site.

The ideal candidates will be required to;

Organise day to day yard activities

Ensuring all yard operations are carried out safely and efficiently

Reporting any defects, damage, or safety concerns to management
