Job summary

Marshalls plc in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, is hiring a Yard Loader to join our Logistics team. This 48-hour-per-week role runs Monday to Friday, 11am–8pm, at the St. Ives manufacturing site, with 26 days holiday and benefits.

You will load and unload products onto Marshalls' or customer vehicles using a forklift, report to the Yard Manager, and contribute to a 200+ strong logistics function across 17 sites. We offer training, licence renewals paid for, health care plan, cycle to work, employee

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years FLT driving experience with a valid Forklift Truck Licence.
• Experience in areas where workplace transport health and safety is practiced.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products onto Marshalls' or customer vehicles safely using a forklift.
• Report to the Yard Manager as part of the 200+ logistics team.
• Support yard operations at the St Ives site and contribute to daily deliveries.

What's the Mission?

You will load and unload products onto Marshalls' or customer vehicles safely whilst using a Forklift truck and various power mount attachments. Ideally, you'll come from a background where you understand Yard Operations and have some product knowledge but don't worry, this isn't essential - we can teach you everything about Marshalls!

You'll report to our Yard Manager and form part of our 200+ strong Group Logistics function. Did you know that every day our logistics team plans deliveries to our customers from 17 sites and service centres across the UK?!

What are the mission-critical skills?

• Minimum of 2 years FLT driving experience with a valid Forklift Truck Licence
• Experiencing working in areas where workplace transport health and safety is practiced
• Excellent team working skills within a busy environment
• Good communication and customer service skills
